A fun time was had by all
So Mona was married yesterday
And Rickey beat me to the punch but let’s weigh in with our side of the story.
The day started off pretty quiet, as far as wedding days go. Mona booked the sisters hair appointments at a small salon on 33rd and Madison. Ate Maya went last and took pictures:
As you can see, the bride was relaxed, glowing, and gorgeous despite the grime and noise outside and the craziness of the day ahead.
Because New York wouldn’t be New York without yellow cabs, here she is outside the cab we took back to the hotel:

And posing, upon my request, at the main entrance:
There was much chaos in the room upon our arrival. Mom was ironing Mona’s wedding dress, Andrea was getting made up, Dad was sitting on the floor looking at the flowers and suffering, hungry, in silence. After all the girls got dressed, we walked across the street to St. Pat’s. Uncle Peter and kids caught sight of us and waved crazily, and whaddayouknow, we ran across the street, bouquets in hand, bride in tow, to give them all huge hugs. We passed some curious tourists and I shouted, “Real bride really getting married!” to no one in particular. Got some thumbs-up, and some excited “See, I told you we’d see a wedding!” whispers.
We’ve all seen Rickey’s awesome Mona walking down the aisle pics (Here is the whole photoset in case you missed it), so let’s see what else was going on in the church. Well, Father O’Hare gave an excellent homily
,
Mona looked exactly like I felt during my own wedding
,
the ringbearer was a little nervous
,
and someone brought a baby in a basket
.
but overall, we were just laughin’ and havin’ a great time

Ate Maya gave a short speech at Cendrillon, then the bride and groom cut the bibingka cake. Then, after we were amply fed and liquored up, we all walked over to a bar around the corner.
This gave Mookie and Tata the chance to make cute for the camera
and me and Grumpus the chance to pose outside a sex shop
And because it was Fleet Week in New York, the bride and I each got a handsome sailor.
And that’s the end of my short recap. Peace out.
