No commentsSpit, the natural sealant
This place is gorgeous, and Grumpus and I have settled, sort of, into vacation mode. We got up at 6:30 to join the 7 am yoga class (in case you were wondering, we never get up that early when we’re not on vacation), went to the wrong place, and decided it was too late to catch up. So by 7:30 we were settled into the beach club, wondering what to do with the rest of our morning.
My idea was to sit and bake in the sun in order to turn a slightly darker shade of pale. Turns out that an early-morning rise does turn me slightly hyperactive (note to self) so I took a kayak and paddled down the length of the beach. Grumpus did the same thing while grumbling about missing the lazy wife he knows and loves.
At 10 we got on a boat and joined a snorkeling trip. They had bottled sealant though, and we didn’t even need to spit into our goggles.
So here we are at 12:30 pm, done with lunch, and with the prospect of a nice lazy afternoon in front of us. Pictures later. Or tomorrow. Whatever feels right.

Happy 35th to this blogger. Grumpus and I are off to this resort in a few hours. You shall hear all about it when we get there.

David Juran’s goodbye performance at the end of Stats class. I guess he does this at the end of every semester. My classmates thought you would have been great as the next-door neighbor that he chats with over the fence in a Juran sitcom.

My previous post on my business school career notwithstanding, I’ve rediscovered my love for my alma mater. These videos have been around for a while but I just found them, thanks to Susan. In case you were wondering, the fellow playing the dean was a classmate of hers, and not actually Glenn Hubbard. Check them out:
Dean, Dean Baby
Every breath you take - A bit of background for this one - Glenn Hubbard was on the short list for Fed Chairman when Alan Greenspan retired, but the position eventually went to Ben Bernanke.
Both vids are hilarious, but if you only see one youtube vid today, make it the second one.

Among the many professions practiced by people I know and love is cardio-thoracic surgery. My brother the model grew quite nicely into his brains, and is doing a fellowship in that field at this august institution. Sometimes I even manage to talk to him about it.
